    Day 1: Osaka Arrival

    Arrival, transfer to the hotel by shuttle bus.
    The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

     

    Day 2: Osaka - Mount Koya

    Departure for the sacred mountain of Koya, a place of pilgrimage with important temples and monasteries.
    Accommodation in a Buddhist monastery. Zen meditation practice and dinner included (vegetarian).

     

    Day 3: Mount Koya - Kyoto

    Japanese breakfast at the temple.
    We will leave for Kyoto and visit the city's main spots (Shinto Shrine of Fushimi Inari, the Imperial Palace, Kinkaku-ji Temple).
    Night transfer to Gion, the traditional Geisha neighborhood.
    Free time.

     

    Day 4: Kyoto - Eihei-ji - Katsuyama - Dinosaur Museum - Kanazawa

    Visit Shirahige Shrine.

    Afterwards, we head to Eihei-ji, a temple-monastery founded in 1244 and a central hub of Zen Buddhism in Japan (admission included).

    Next, in Katsuyama, we’ll visit the Dinosaur Museum, the Great Buddha of Echizen, and the Heisenji Hakusan Shinto Shrine.

    Arrival in Kanazawa by evening.

     

    Day 5: Kanazawa

    Kanazawa city tour.
    The afternoon will be free for you to explore.

     

    Day 6: Kanazawa - Ainokura - Shirakawa-go - Hida Village - Takayama

    Explore the Gokayama and Shirakawa-go regions. These villages have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

    Stop in Ainokura and Shirakawa-go Ogimachi.

    Afterward, continue to Takayama and visit the Hida Folk Village Museum.

     

    Day 7: Takayama - Hida Furukawa - Matsumoto - Tokyo

    Depart for Hida Furukawa, where we’ll stroll through its charming old town.

    Then, continue our journey across the Japanese Alps.

    Upon arrival in Matsumoto, visit Matsumoto Castle.

    In the afternoon, depart for Tokyo.

     

    Day 8: Tokyo

    In the morning, city tour (Zojoji Temple, Shibuya Junction, Meiji Shrine, Omotesando, Nijubashi Bridge, Akihabara, Kokugikan, Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa).

    Lunch included at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel.

    Late in the afternoon, we will pay a visit to this fascinating country by taking a trip on the metro (tickets included) to the Shinjuku district.

    Dinner included and return to hotel by metro with our guide.

      Day2

      -During winter, due to earlier nightfall, there won’t be enough time to visit the interior of Kongobuji Temple.
      -Staying in the monastery is considered a highly enriching experience. The rooms are simple, without private bathrooms, and follow traditional Japanese style with tatami mats. Bathrooms are shared.
      -We cannot guarantee meditation sessions during busy tourist periods.
      -Accommodation in the temples on Mount Koya is limited, and in some cases, we may arrange for groups to stay in nearby hotels instead (half board provided).

       

      Day3

      If you’ve already visited Kyoto as part of your tour, our guide will provide tips and recommendations to help you explore other parts of the city on your own.
